Excellent opportunity to develop relationships within a supportive community of artists. SOPA's Facebook Page is designed to develop connection within our community of artists. The page shares a range of news & notes about members of the SOPA Collective, including upcoming exhibition events featuring collective members and other accomplishments. In addition, Artists Calls for Submission and other items of general interest are posted. SOPA's Group exhibitions feature the work of SOPA's resident artists and members of the SOPA Collective. Annual city-wide Art Walk (sponsored by the City of South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce) occur in the Fall of each year. Members are eligible to mount a solo or teamed feature exhibition in SOPA's Gallery, with curatorial and other assistance provided. To qualify for a solo or teamed feature exhibition, a meeting and review of your portfolio or exhibition proposal will be arranged. Typically, members participate in at least one group show before scheduling a feature exhibition. Members additionally receive invitations to attend free presentation events. Discounts on workshops. Exposure via SOPA website & promotions. To become a member, please follow up your studio visit with completion of SOPA's New Member Registration Form indicating the range of your interests. |
