| Artist Profiles Monique LeBleu Collage Louisiana born Monique LeBleu credits the influences in her work to that of her Cajun heritage and all that fosters the music, color and cultural soup pot reflected in both living in Southern California and the love of her sister city, New Orleans . Collage and Paint are her primary mediums, but recent study in Encaustics with artists Lisa Marsh and Karen Kieffer have brought her a new medium by which the colors that creep into her eyes from the edges of sleep and waking are reflected and put to wood. Monique embellishes her work with that which reflects the charm of antiquity and the subject of time. Her love of film and escapism factor in there somewhere, although she is not sure how. . |
