base prep & fusing, opaque & translucent color; collage & stenciling approaches, and incising
techniques (intaglio, scrafitto, encapsulation). The Special Topics Session features demo of
approaches to using photographic imagery. A guided project will be completed via practice of guided
exercises. We will then continue exploration through completion of one or more personal project of
your choosing. The series will culminate with an exhibition of works, hosted at SOPA. The series is
suited to all skill levels, and is of particular interest to artists engaged in collage, painting or print media.
