| One Day Intensive Workshops cover skill and technique as well as explore creative potentials of digital media Session A: From Photo to Finish: Making Technology Work for You This Workshop will concentrate on the different ways in which to print, frame, and store. We will cover the many options for printing, either alternative printing. Gain knowledge of archival materials and the dangers that could damage improperly stored photographic material. Session B: Digital Photography: Capturing the Vision This workshop will cover shooting, scanning, and preparing for the editing process. Designed to help photographers get the most out of a scene, capture color accurately, and handle difficult shooting scenarios. Also covers cameras and lenses, and how they work. Gain knowledge of in-camera settings for shooting with Jpeg or Raw, including sharpening and noise reduction techniques. Session C: Get What You Want: Editing and Color Theory This workshop covers preparing a computer for digital process (including hardware, storage, and monitor). Will also discuss color theory from capture to print and strategies to maintain a color- managed workflow. Gain knowledge about managing pixels, digital editing, and converting files. This workshop is largely computer-based. Though I will demonstrate using Photoshop and Lightroom, only part of this workshop is concerned with the programs directly – users of other programs gain valuable knowledge, as most of the technique is easily transferable. |
